Of all the ways You
have been described, this one is by far my favourite. It is their perspective that lends depth to
the greatest act of love. I guess it is because I would give my own life for
the ones I love.
I cannot even imagine
what Our Father or the angels must have gone through during your time to and on
the cross. If someone had to hurt a loved one of mine I would be there throwing
punches and bringing down a whole lot of ass-kicking.
And You knew. You know
that if You had to utter one single word the angels would have come and brought
with them a fight that would have altered our existence as we know it. Having
to watch you die in that way must have killed them as well…
Your silence was one of
the greatest selfless acts ever.
